At SED Science Education, we believe that science education should be rooted in real, concrete science while taking an innovative and engaging approach to help students understand the world around them. Our programmes are designed and delivered by passionate practitioners who are dedicated to inspiring students and creating exciting opportunities for learning.

Classroom topics are brought to life with our workshops that closely match your scheme of work. Pupils learn how to think and work like a scientist, how to apply what they have learned to the real world, and how to develop the skills relevant to a career in science. Our science-based programmes use creative approaches to clarify difficult concepts, challenge thinking, and introduce new scientific content.

We understand the challenges of delivering whole-school approaches to science and have created a range of options to make it easy for teachers to bring exciting science learning to their classrooms. 

One of our most popular offerings is the Big Science Day, which is perfect for engaging multiple year groups. Our Big Science Day can comprise of different workshops exploring a range of scientific topics or age-differentiated activities all focused on a single scientific theme. These workshops are designed to build on students' existing knowledge, enhance progression, and boost motivation in science.

Our mobile lab, SED Hub, is equipped with all the necessary resources to bring our workshops to schools, community events, festivals, summer schemes, after-school clubs, and even birthday parties. We believe that every child deserves access to quality science education, and we are committed to making this a reality.

Our inspirational workshops are available in various formats, which are differentiated for age and ability, and can be delivered during World Space Week or any time throughout the school year. These workshops provide a great opportunity for teachers to experience innovative, inspiring, and cross-curricular approaches to teaching space science. Many of the approaches require minimal resources and can be shared with colleagues and implemented into science lessons the very next day.
